This documentary film takes us to Uganda, the so called alcoholism capital of Africa and dives into the world of African Moonshine. Uganda is the top place in the world as far as alcohol consumption.
Ugandans are the hardest drinking Africans in the motherland, both in terms of per capita consumption and the hooch they choose to chug. Waregi, or “war gin,” is what they call the local moonshine, and it makes the harshest Appalachian rotgut taste like freaking Bailey’s.
Some Ugandans die from African Moonshine cut with industrial chemicals, or either go blind or suffer other permanent physical damage.
